Hagia Sophia is one of the most famous and historical monuments of Istanbul, embodying the rich cultural heritage of the Byzantine and Ottoman periods. Dome: 31 meters in diameter and 55 meters high, described in its time as "hanging the sky". The Sultanahmet Mosque, also known as the “Blue Mosque,” was built between 1609 and 1616. It is famous for its six minarets, large domes, and interior decorated with more than 20,000 blue tiles. Located across from Hagia Sophia, it remains one of Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks.
